The first part of our presentation is presenting and discussing the subject of violence in the community and what constitutes violence in our every day lives and interactions with people. Homicide is the number two killer of children between the ages of 15-24. Violence has become an epidemic and a major public health issue in our community. We are losing to many of our youth/people to violence.
The second part of our presentation is to present the fact that HIV/AIDS is one of the most serious health problems our community has ever faced! Advances in medicine have made tremendous strides in keeping people infected with HIV healthy for many years. However, there is no cure, and education is the only way we can help our young people protect themselves from becoming infected.
